Within the framework of the Commission’s ongoing cooperation with the UK Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative (PSVI), CIJA's Sexual Violence (SGBV) Advisor attended a conference organised by the FCO on developing global principles and an action plan to tackle stigma for sexual violence between 28 and 30 November at Wilton Park. The SGBV Advisor was invited to chair a session on the causes and consequences of stigma. The experiences of CIJA in tackling sexual violence against males and females simultaneously, working in the criminal justice context, and adherence to the ‘do no harm' approach to investigation, were also contributed to the wide-ranging discussions.
