Chris Engels
Director of Investigations and Operations
Chris Engels oversees the organisation’s investigations and field operations across multiple countries in conflict. Mr. Engels also manages the organisation's relationships with domestic law enforcement agencies and prosecution authorities as well as international bodies. Mr. Engels is a U.S. lawyer with over 15 years of international experience working in criminal law in a variety of conflict and post-conflict environments, including the Balkans, the MENA region, and Central Asia with a focus on the investigation and analysis of international and transnational crimes such as terrorism, war crimes, and extremist activity. He has also provided support to governments dealing with these crimes in a number of capacities including investigations, prosecutions, legislative drafting, and training of a variety of groups engaged in the criminal justice process such as investigators, prosecutors, judges, and defence lawyers.
